Having recently stayed onboard Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas, I wanted to share three aspects about my stay in a 1 bedroom Grand Suite.

  1. Efficiently spacious with one flaw

Sometimes with cabins, you often find a lot of opportunity wasted with storage and space. Thankfully, for the most part, the layout of the room is well thought out.

However, I did discover one particular flaw. As you see in the above photo, there is a sofa couch and two side chairs. When the sofa couch is pulled out to form as a bed, you can not access the sides of the sofa. This was particularly frustrating as there are drawers on the other side of the bar beside the lamp shown above. It was difficult to access these drawers when the bed was made as it was blocked off by one of the chairs and the coffee table, as there really was no other place to put this furniture without it obstructing something else.

2. Perfectly-sized bathroom

My favorite aspect of this room was the bathroom. With a nicely-sized bathtub and ample square-footage, this bathroom could comfortably allow for two people to stand in it in the same time, perfect for those who despise small spaces. There is good storage behind the mirror doors, and a bit of storage in the drawers, and I must say this was well-sized for a couple of people.

3. Ample drawer and closet space

Here in the bottom left, you can see the drawers I was referring to in point 1.

Just in the wet bar area alone there were so many drawers! As you'll see in my YouTube video, this room has so many advantages with storage. The closet is well thought out, with space for luggage, and plenty of shelves and hangar room. Beside the primary bed there is a little vanity area with even more storage! I must say, if you pack on the heavier side you definitely would not be disappointed with this room!

My YouTube video showcasing this room will feature all the above and more in full detail. Make sure to check out the channel!
